Brother Alexander's Story
Q) What is your name and where are you from?
A) My name is Alexander, I live in Kisii, Kenya.
How did you meet God?
Once I had a tragic road accident, and I stayed in the hospital for many days.
I was coming from Kisii town back home and was hit by a big vehicle while I was on a motorbike and was just carried as a customer[passenger]. When I got into an accident I was 20 years old. I stayed in the hospital for three months and after coming from the hospital and it took 2 months before I could walk again. I even lost hope but God healed me. That's when I decided to give my life to Christ.
We understand that you first met Pastor Jeremiah when he received a message from God to find a man named Alex. Tell us about the experience.
I felt the grace of God and was so much happy when I was first told Pastor Jeremiah was looking for Alexander.
How has your life been affected since meeting Jesus?
My daily life has changed now. Spending time in pastor David's place has enabled me to overcome many temptations and I have avoided peer groups who used to misguide me, preventing me from going to church all day. So I appreciate all things that God is doing in my life.

Brother Alexander is remembered by our Kenya mission team members as a warm young man with a shy, but wide smile. Living about 30 minutes from Ogembo, in the region of Kisii, Alexander took two weeks off from the grocery store at which he was employed to participate in the pastors’ conferences led by Pastor Jeremiah and Pastor Peter. During this time, Brother Alexander was baptized and took his first official step to becoming a man of God. Due to his constant vacancies, Brother Alexander was consequently laid off from his grocery store job, giving him the opportunity to become hired at Pastor David’s Children’s Home in Ogembo. By the grace of God, Heavenly Creek Ministry is currently sending funds to Pastor David so that he may hire workers such as Alexander to assist him in taking care of the orphaned children. By reason of his father’s early death, from a young age, Brother Alexander has assumed the role as head of the household, supporting his diabetic mother and two younger siblings. His two older siblings live far away–his eldest sister living in Saudi Arabia–, while his older brother left his home at an early age, and thus do not participate in supporting their family. Subsequently, Brother Alexander currently struggles with the burden of caring for his mother who was recently admitted to the hospital for her diabetic conditions. Brother Alexander aspires to pursue his dream of receiving education by attending bible college in the future.
