Jackline, a 16-year-old girl now residing at the Mananasi Children’s Center in Ogembo, Kenya, recently welcomed her baby boy, Peter, into the world. Their story, though marked by tragedy, is ultimately one of rescue, care, and new beginnings.
After the loss of her parents, Jackline faced many challenges. Through the compassion of a former teacher, she was brought to the safety of the Mananasi Children’s Center, where she could receive the support she needed during her pregnancy and after the birth of her child. Since arriving, she and her baby have been surrounded by a loving community committed to their healing and growth.
Pastor David, who regularly visits the center, shared about the current needs for baby Peter, including clothes and other essentials. In response, $230 has already been provided to help meet their immediate needs. Baby Peter, now about 100 days old, is healthy and growing, and Jackline is gradually regaining her strength and joy.
While legal proceedings are ongoing concerning Jackline's past situation, the center is focused on her future. Staff and volunteers are walking closely with her, offering counseling, daily support, and spiritual encouragement.
Our hope is that Jackline will be able to return to school next year and pursue her dreams. She has expressed a desire to learn and one day be in a position to help others who have gone through difficult times.
Please join us in continuing to pray for Jackline and Peter—for healing, hope, and a bright future filled with God’s love. We also invite you to consider how you might support children like Jackline through your prayers, encouragement, and generous giving.
