Manansi's Baby Girl Imani is Facing Heart Surgery

Heart Surgery Needed for Young Girl at Mananasi Children’s Center

Aug 5, 2025

Imani Favour, a two-year-old girl living at the Mananasi Children’s Center in Ogembo, Kenya, was diagnosed with a heart condition in March and now requires surgery.

One day in 2023, Imani was found abandoned on the roadside without either her mother or father. According to a staff member at the Mananasi Children’s Home, she was brought to the center following a legal request from the police.

According to Pastor David, her condition was discovered after she fell sick several times. Following a series of medical tests, it was confirmed that she has a hole in her heart. Next week on Monday, a consultation with a cardiologist has been scheduled to assess her condition further and make a treatment plan.

During our most recent mission trip, many of our team members spent time with Imani. She quickly captured the hearts of everyone with her gentle spirit and bright smile. She was held, cared for, and loved by many, leaving a lasting impression on our team.

The large portion of the medical expenses is covered by insurance by preparation of God!

However, additional costs for transportation and accommodation, estimated at around $670, remain. To help with this, Heavenly Creek Ministry provided financial support today.

We ask for your prayers that the surgery proceeds smoothly and successfully. Please also remember Imani and all those involved in her care, so she may soon enjoy a healthy and normal life.
