Kenya

January 14, 2024 - February 14, 2024

Back in October, 2023 Pastor David Nyakwara of Kenya first contacted our ministry, expressing that he was touched by our ministry's online sermons and requested for additional spiritual and educational guidance. Pastor Jeremiah and Pastor David began to have weekly Google Meets, in which it became evident that the pastors of Kenya needed urgent spiritual teaching. Finally, in January 2024, Pastor Jeremiah traveled alone to Ogembo, Kenya. During this mission trip, he held seminars for pastors and Sunday school teachers, revival meetings, and carried the gospel to indigenous tribes. By the support of Heavenly Creek Ministry, Pastor Jeremiah was able to bring 100 English bibles and 100 books about Jesus. When in Kenya, we were able to purchase 100 bibles in six different tribal languages. Hallelujah! Towards the end of this powerful mission trip, Pastor Jeremiah stayed at the children's home of 70 orphans, which Pastor David and wife had been managing by themselves. There, Pastor Jeremiah was able to spread the love of Jesus to these bright-eyed children.

June 30, 2024 - July 13, 2024

Heavenly Creek Ministry’s second mission trip to Kenya was a transformative journey joined four members of Rugged Cross Church: Pastor Peter, Brother Darren, Sister Jin-hee, and Brother Joshua as well as three members of Heavenly Creek Ministry: Pastor Jeremiah, Mrs. Mia Kim, and Sister Gwen. The team traveled from San Francisco and Houston to Kisii, Kenya, after two days of travel, carrying crucial supplies like water purifiers with support from Missionary Daniel Kwon of A Cup of Water International Mission. In Kenya, the team again partnered with Pastor David and his wife Gillian from Faith Way Communion Church to do God's work in Kenya. The mission team began each day with meditation and prayer, distributing clothes, medicine, and gifts to local children and adults. Their efforts included conducting pastors' conferences, women's and children's ministries, youth gatherings, and revival meetings. These activities led to profound moments of repentance and renewal. Pastor Jeremiah Kim and Pastor Peter Kim boldly proclaimed the gospel at an outdoor Revival Meeting in the Ogembo Village, while other members dedicated ministries to the women and children of Kenya.Significant outcomes included the baptism of 20 individuals during a Sunday service, a rare event as noted by Pastor David, and a powerful revival in Kuria, where the gospel message resonated deeply. Despite facing challenges, including Pastor Richard's detention at an airport, the mission proved spiritually enriching for the team. The mission’s impact is seen as a testament to God’s grace, with hopes that their efforts will continue to bear fruit and bring glory to God in Kenya.
